A pool aerator is a piece of equipment that adds to the ambiance and the cleanliness of your pool.
How Pool Aerators Work
Aerators are not only used in swimming pools but also in fish tanks and hot tubs. Also, you probably have already seen an aerator in the kitchen or bathroom. Aerators are often attached to kitchen and bathroom sink faucets. They are used to turn the single flow of water into numerous small flows of water. This process not only saves water, but it also introduces air into the water, helping reduce consumption without reducing pressure.
Pool Aerators are Beneficial for Your Pool
Since aerators introduce air to the water, they are extremely beneficial for swimming pools. Without a pool aerator, the water in the swimming pool can become stagnant which encourages algae to build up. That is why many inground pools Oklahoma City owners install have aerators to help keep their swimming pools clean.
Pool aerators also are often used to keep the pool's water at an ideal temperature. During the hot summer season, the water in the swimming pool tends to heat up. Therefore, many pool owners use aerators to keep the water enjoyable and cool by spraying it up into the air and helping it stay that optimal temperature.
Types of Pool Aerators
Fortunately, there are many different types of pool aerators. Some aerators have attractive designs, while others are designed to be entertaining and fun. Fountain aerators are a good example of attractive aerators. These fountains come in a variety of designs, shapes, and sizes, so it is not difficult to find one that works with your pool.
Pool aerators can also be used for entertainment purposes. For instance, a water cannon aerator is a fun toy that can be used by people of all ages. There are many other types of aerators that are great fun for kids and adults alike.
How to Install a Pool Aerator
Step 1- First turn off all the pool's devices.
Step 2- Unscrew the jet head of the pool's return line.
Step 3- Screw the pool aerator into the uncovered return line. Do not make it too tight, yet at same time make sure it is firmly placed.
Step 4- Turn on all of the devices and test the aerator.
Step 5- Adjust the aerator to the ideal level.
Installing a pool aerator on your pool can be highly beneficial. Because not only can pool aerators be highly attractive and fun, but they also automatically clean your pool. If you have any more questions about the installation process, then it is recommended to ask a professional pool installer for help.
